Our Foundation
Faith Baptist Church is not a building or denomination. It is a group of believers whom God has brought together as His church. While godly leaders and traditions are helpful to organised worship, our faith is not founded on a leader nor on tradition.

The foundation of our faith is the Bible, the Word of God.

It is our final authority for faith and practice. It is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
Our Formation
Faith Baptist Church began as a ministry outreach of Baptist International Mission of Uganda. Its first Sunday services were on 3rd September 2017, led by missionary-pastor, Dan Dwire, and his family. Before that month was over, we were meeting together for four services a week: two on Sunday and two on Tuesday. In 2018, Bro. Axis Twinny joined our church leadership as a Bible College Intern, and Pastor Tony Applegate and his family shifted from Masaka District to Kampala to assist Pastor Dan and Bro. Axis in leading our church. Bro. Axis is now serving in a sister church in Gulu, and God continues to raise up servant leaders from the congregation of Faith Baptist Church.

In December 2019, Faith Baptist Church was officially organised and registered as its own legal entity in the Republic of Uganda. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, "I will build my church." Indeed, the growth of Faith Baptist Church is because of Jesus Christ, and our desire continues to be a body of believers who are "Alive in Christ, Living for His Glory."
